Toys R Us Gears of War Limited Figures

Toys R Us were one of the first toy companies to provide Exclusive figures in partnership with manufacturers to their customers, realizing if they captured the interest of the collectors market that toy sales would remain high all year round rather than just during the peak seasonal periods. And with Gears of War being so popular it was long before Toys R Us had a line of exclusive Gears of War figures and look likely to continue the trend.

Other Gears of War Limited Edition Figures

There have been a few Gears of War Limited Edition Figures released since NECA started producing these figures. Probably the most spectacular of them was the Headshot Locust figure although the Chainsaw double pack was also quite awesome!

Gears of War Limited Batsu Figures

In Japanese, the symbol "batsu," like the English 'X' is used to show something wrong. Like when you get a strike on Family Feud, that's a batsu.

The highly-stylized Batsu figures were specifically designed with urban vinyl market in mind and were NECA's attempt to break into the lucrative market, but like McFarlane's Halo Oddpods they didn't prove to be popular with collectors and so a second series was never released.

There were Batsu figures of Dom, Marcus and The Locust each standing over 5" tall, and were poseable at the neck and shoulders.
