Despite breaking in a crop of new rookies during the 2006 season the Arizona Diamondbacks managed to stay competitive.
  
During this period Brandon Webb excelled himself and proved his worth and talent delivering wins in 14 of his first 28 starts matching his career best. He also scored his best stats in ERA and WHIP. This authentic 6 inch figure profiles Brandon Webb lining up to pitch one of his feared balls. Probably the most feared hitter in the MLB this is David Ortiz's second outing with Mc Farlane's. He has a keen eye powerful arm which have made him the Red Sox's main driving force.
 
Ortiz also likes to be dramatic and has a personality that matches his outstanding achievements. As a result he has a huge personal fan base many of whom aren't Red Sox fans. Many would suggest that with his army of dedicated followers he is probably the most popular player in the Major Leagues currently. This 6 inch figure features original paintwork in the Red Sox colors and comes packaged in a clamshell display box.

He also nearly equalled Roger Maris' home run score of 61 and has become one of the hot favorites as a MVP candidate. All this and he's only 26! You can almost hear the sounds of "Enter Sandman" reverberating around Yankee Stadium as a door opens and Mariano enters the stadium. The greatest closer in the history of the game Mariano has dominated baseball for a decade shattering dreams and breaking bats.
This all new 6 inch sculpt from McFarlanes recreates Mariano as he enters the stadium in a classic pose that will bring back many memories for fans of the game. This is his seconding outing with Mc Farlanes and is sure to be popular with both fans and collectors. This figure comes complete with the opening door in the outfield wall as he purposefully strides out onto the field and is packaged in the standard Sports Picks clamshell display.
VARIANT ALERT It seems that McFarlane's had to redesign this figure when they discovered that the glass doors made it too big and bulky for the packaging! As a result the final released figure only comes with half the door, pictured below, but the figures with the original double door are still to be released. How many are there? No-one really knows, so keep your eyes peeled.
Justin Verlander is the first rookie pitcher to ever win 10 games before the end of June and has become a highly respected pitcher in a short time with the Tigers.
His pitch is fast a strong and feared by many hitters and he has played a large part in the dream season that Dtroit have had. This 6 inch figure features a classic pose of Justin Verlander pitching one of his scorching balls. You can almost feel the heat and hear the whistle as it flies past your ear. Another great action sculpt from McFarlanes, recreating one of the leagues hottest new rookies who is destined to become a big name in the game. One of the New York Mets new faces David Wright is an excellent and very talented player.
