A series of Disney Indiana Jones Figures were released between 2001-2007. These exclusive Indiana Jones figures were exclusive to their theme park. In all there were three series produced along with some play sets.
Disney Indiana Jones Figures Series 1 2001The first series of Disney Indiana Jones Figures included a vinyl figure and a micro plane as well as a 4.5-inch Indiana Jones figure. Each of these Disney Indiana Jones Figures came with an identical card, front and back, except for the character info sticker on the blister. The 4.5 inch Indiana Jones figure had 5 points of articulation, on the neck, 2 shoulders, and 2 hips and came with a revolver, Indy's trademark whip, a sword and a torch. The 10-inch Indiana Jones Vinyl Statue although fairly cool looking, was poorly sculpted and lacked any real detail. The figures pose was very similar to Indy's pose on the Raiders of the Lost Ark poster and DVD box. He also came with his whip and fedora. There was also a set of 4 Micro Playsets released. The first of these was a Micro Airplane was of the legendary Flying Wing featured in Raiders of the Lost Ark and came with 3 sets of wheels, and 2 propellers. The next vehicle in this set was a Micro Action Tank from the Last Crusade movie. A toy version of the old tank featured in Indiana Jones and. The tank had wheels, 2 guns at the side, and one 360? movable gun on the top. Probably the best and coolest of these Disney Indiana Jones Figures was the Micro Action Motorcycle. This also came with figures that were made to the same scale as the other Micro vehicles and it had a sidecar to attached. It also came with:
Disney Indiana Jones Figures Micro Action Play SetThis was a 6 figure set made to the same scale as the Micro Action Tank, Airplane and Motorcycle and come in a fun little box. The 6 figures included in this set were:
Disney Indiana Jones Figures Series 2Released in Disney Theme Parks (worldwide exclusive) in August 2003. Indiana Jones- Epic Stunt Spectacular This figure was released to celebrate the opening of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at the Disney-MGM Studios in Florida. There were two versions of the figure released, a regular Indiana Jones figure and an African-American version. The African-American version was released because one of the stunt men in the show was an African-American. For the Indiana Jones figure a Classic GI Joe body was used with a WWII headsculpt with its hair painted black. Indiana Jones's stunt jacket also features the Indiana Jones- Epic Stunt Spectacular logo on the back. These Indiana Jones figures came dressed with a fedora, hiking boots, a ream-yellow shirt, a "leather" jacket and red/brown trousers with a metal buckled belt. The figure also included:
In the 2003 Series Disney released 5 4.5 inch Indiana Jones figures based on characters from the Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. The card front for this series was identical to the first series but the card back was updated with the new figures featured. Indiana Jones The Indiana Jones figure had 5 points of articulation, the neck, shoulders, and hips and he came with a sand bag, machete, his satchel, a gold idol, and an idol stand. Marion Ravenwood The second figure in this series was Marion Ravenwood which also had 5 points of articulation and came with a frying pan and a piece of Monkey. Unfortunately this figure was very poorly sculpted and bore no real resemblance to the actress or character in the movie. German Soldier The next figure was the German Soldier who also had 5 points of articulation and came with a crate and a rifle. German Mechanic The German Mechanic, as with the others, had the same 5 points of articulation and came with a wrench and an oil drum, however he was unable to actually hold the wrench in either of his hands so in many cases it was lost and it is now difficult to find one complete with the wrench. Cairo Swordsman The last figure in this series was the Cairo Swordsman who had the regular 5 points of articulation and 2 swords. Disney - Series 3: 7" Action Figure Released in Disney Theme Parks (USA exclusive) in December 2007. Indiana Jones 7" Action Figure Series 3 only consisted of one 7-inch Indiana Jones figure sculpted by the team at Gentle Giant. Unlike the previous figures this one had an amazing 14 points of articulation: the neck, 2 shoulders, 2 arms, 2 hands, torso, 2 hips, 2 knees and 2 knees. He also came with a removable fedora, a revolver, whip, shoulder bag, sword, golden idol, poison antidote, grail diary and a base. This figure, unlike many of the smaller figures, was excellently sculpted and very detailed.
