The Fourth Doctor Who, Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sullivan arrive on Earth to discover that a group of shipwrecked astronauts from a human colony have been lured there by a fake distress call.

The aliens are conducting experiments on earth inhabitants. The Sontaran alien, Field-Major Styre is planning a report on human physical and mental capabilities before their full invasion of the Earth.

While the Doctor and Major Styre are engaged in combat, Harry Sullivan tampers with the charging system of the alien’s space ship and when the alien returns to recharge it, he is drained of the remainder of his energy and destroyed.
