Invasion of Walking Dead Figures Coming From McFarlane Toys

Although the fans of Walking Dead comic series can already purchase T-shirts, statues, and other souvenirs, the collectors of action figures have so far been missing out...

But the news is now out!!

McFarlane Toys have announced that they will be doing action figures based on "The Walking Dead" comic book as well as the TV series.

This follows licensing deals made with comic book creator, Robert Kirkman and also with AMC.

For fans that means an invasion of highly detailed and horrific figures of the Zombies and main characters in the show.

The story is about a group of survivors following a zombie apocalypse gets led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home.

The first series of deluxe 6-inch figures that will be released in September 2011 includes:

Officer Rick Grimes
Michonne
Zombie Lurker
Zombie Roamer

and the second series which is also in deluxe 6-inch format will be available in November 2011. They include:

Deputy Rick Grimes
Daryl Dixon
Zombie Walker
Zombie Biter

They'll be two Zombies per series, each featuring removable limbs and exchangeable exploding heads!!

The human figures will also enjoy multiple interchangeable accessories and several points of articulation for unlimited possibilities and customization.

Each action figure will be boxed separately and expected to sell around $14.99 at retailers nationwide.
