Maybe I'm a purist or maybe I'm just not up to the times but for me James Bond will always be Sean Connery.

And second best would be Roger Moore.

Pierce Brosnan?

He's ok I guess, but I've never been a huge fan of his.

He seems a bit too suave to me

It seems that there are many who would disagree with me because he seems to have given the franchise a new lease of life and a new found popularity.

But I think this has as much to do with bringing the story lines back to reality as much as with Pierce.
