large collection to sell

I have a large collection to sell I need to know what the buyers are looking for other than condition. all are c-10 in the original packages.
How do I list? exp: superman, do I list the year? the series? the maker? Mcfarland? DC? ect.. I have nearly 1700 figures and would like to sell as a collection but may need to sell individuly on e-bay. any suggestions? I have an invetory but may need to re organize it.

Many thanks for the email.

The first thing you should do is put together a full inventory of products you want to sell with descriptions, product details (year, make etc), images and asking prices.

I would then use a free service such as ioffer.com to list the items.

My next move would be to then register on several of the action figure site forums, e.g. Spawn.com, ENI.com, OSW.com etc. and make a post about your ioffer listings. Also make your "inventory" available as a free down loadable document (there are plenty of free sites that offer this service).

Personally I would only use eBay as a last option as it can be very time consuming and expensive, especially as a newbie and for "one off" sales.
