 Mariano Rivera "Error" Figure Released
Remember the Full Bull Pen MARIANO RIVERA action figure from McFarlane's MLB Sports Picks Series 18? Originally this figure was to include the FULL version of the bullpen door but on production it was found that it WOULD NOT fit into the packaging!! So, production was halted and a new version with only a section of the bullpen door was produced.
So what happened to the Full Bullpen Mariano Rivera Versions?
It was rumoured that a few of the original FULL bullpen door versions were released into the market place before production was halted. Well, it seems that McFarlane has now decided to release it as a Collectors Edition action figure. With the Yankee's stadium due to close its doors for the last time at the end of the 2008 season and Rivera having just signed a new contract that will keep him in pinstripes for the next three seasons this seemed the perfect opportunity to release this action figure. The MLB Legends Collector's Edition Mariano Rivera Box Set action figure features the 2008 Yankees jersey, complete with patches on the left and right arms of the jersey:
Mariano Rivers was born on November 29 1969 in Panama City and was married in 1991. He now has three sons: Mariano Jnr, Jafet, and Jaziel. Mariano is a deeply religious Christian and firmly believes that everything happens for a reason. One famous example of his believe in "fate" occurred after the Yankees lost their seventh game of the 2001 World Series, because had they won his good friend Enrique Wilson would have been on the fatal American Airlines Flight 587. He also has the inscription "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" on his pitching glove. Mariano is widely considered by many to be the greatest closer in the games history he has won 4 World Series, is the current ( 2007) American League career leader and has the 4th most season saves in Major League history...
