McFarlanes NBA Legends 4 is the fourth release in this popular series of basketball sports action figures.

This edition brings six more of the games legends and heroes to you with five of the players being listed in the NBA's top 50 Players rosta and the sixth player being the subject of one of the most popular stories of triumph in the NBA's history.

NBA Legends 4 will also feature McFarlanes new extended clamshells which will allow all the action figures to be displayed complete in the blisters without any need to assemble them out of the packaging.

The 1978-79 season for the Boston Celtics was a poor season with them ending the season in fifth place but unknown to them help was on the way in the shape of Larry Bird who helpedusher in a new age for the Boston Celtics.

In his first season he won the NBA's Rookie of the Year Award and helped them to improve their victories by 32 over the season and make it to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Over the period of his career he brought home three titles and an Olympic Gold Medal from being part of the 1992 Barcelona "Dream Team".

After only two seasons in Minnesota Elgin Taylor's team decided to move East and settled in Los Angeles to become the Los Angeles Lakers. Along with Jerry West they became one of the most feared one-two punches in NBA history bringing the Lakers a decade of dominance.

In his first season he won the NBA's Rookie of the Year Award and led his team to the Finals, which was to be his first of eight trips to the finals.

He is the fifth highest scorer per game of all-time being surpassed only by Jordan, Chamberlain and Iverson.

Before he entered the NBA Drafts in 1985 as the Star Pick Patrick Ewing had a dominant game in Georgetown.

The New York Knicks won the NBA Draft Lottery that year and brought the "Hoya Destroyer to New York.

The Knicks honored him in 2003 when they retired his number 33 jersey in a ceremony at Madison Square Gardens.

Anthony Spud Webb is one of the NBA's greatest heroes, respect throughout the game for beating the odds and inspiring a generation.

For decades Basketball had been the exclusive domain of tall men but at 5' 7" Spud set out to prove them wrong.

Not only did he succeed but in the 1986 All-Star Game, which was held in his home town of Dallas, to everyones amazement he entered the Slam Dunk Competition.

With an aweinspiring, jaw dropping, trailblazing display of skills Spudd went on to surprised everyone, including fellow team-mate and defending champion Dominique Wilkins, by winning the competition.

For twelve years Spud Webb battled against the odds proving that even a short man could walk tall on the basketball court and inspiring generations of kids and showing them that with hard work, passion, grit and determination you could achieve anything you want.

"The Iceman" guided the San Antonio Spurs through the merger of the ABA and NBA but despite his "cool" approach he lit up the scoreboards.

Over a career spanning 13 seasons he played in twelve All-Star teams and led the NBA in scoring no less than 5 times.

After leaving the NBA he play in some games overseas but his heart always remained in San Antonio where he had established the George Gervin Youth Center.

Julius Erving was already a local hero before he joined the NBA Draft.

For two years he had dominated college basketball while at the University of Massachuseetes followed by four years as the best player in the ABA before joining the Philladelohia 76ers.

Over a career spanning 16 seasons he was selected for sixteen NBA All Teams every season as well as winning three ABBA and one NBA MVP awards as well as a pair of ABA Titles, and a NBA Championship.

Dr J was commonly regarded as one of the games top players and was regarded as a true gentleman of the sport.
