  • NFL Legends Jack Lambert- Pittsburgh Steelers LB #58
  • Jack Harold Lambert was born on July 8th, 1952 in Mantua, Ohio. He played for Kent State whilst at college and won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award twice during this time. When he left college in 1974 he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round, 46 overall, of the 1974 NFL EntryDrats.

    During his 11 year career with the Steelers he won four Super Bowls and was selected to nine, establishing himself as a skillful and talented linebacker. Although not as large as many other line-backers Lambert became highly regarded and was considered to be on of the 2 or 3 best line-backers in the games history.

    Lambert prided himself on his ability to intimdate the opposition and was the backbone of the Steelers famed "Steel Curtain" defense. Since his retirement in 1984 his jersey number 58 has been "unofficially" retired although the Steelers don't retire jersey numbers but remour has it he told the equipment manager that if he ever re-issued it he would come after him. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990.

  • NFL Legends Joe Montana- San Francisco 49ers QB#16
  • Selected to eight Pro Bowl teams Montana threw 11 touchdowns and rushed two in four Super Bowl games. He also won three Super Bowl MVP awards and helped the 49ers win four championships. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.

  • NFL Legends Howie Long- Los Angeles Raiders DE #75
  • "Howie" Long, full name Howard Michael Long was born on January 6th, 1960 in Somerville, Massachusetts and went to college at Villhaven University after turning down an ofer to play at Boston Colloege.

    Long entered the 1981 NFL Drat and was selected 48th overall in the second round by the Oakland Raiders. On his retirement in 1993 he was the only player left with the by then Los Angeles Raiders from the original Oakland Raiders franchise.

    During his esteemed career with the Raiders Long won several awards including the Alumni Defensive Lineman of the Year twice and was selected to the Pro Bowl eight times.He finished with a career total of 91.5 sacks in 179 and was name to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.

    After his retirement he started a career in acting, mainly in action films as well as several appearances in TV shows and commercials and is an analyst for Fox's NFL coverage.

  • NFL Legends John Riggins- Washington Redskins RB#44
  • Nicknamed "The Diesel" Robert John Riggins was born in Seneca, Kansas on Agust 4th 1949. He attended Centralia High School which is now located at 507 John Riggins Ave in his honor.He went on to attend the University of Kansas where he broke several school records and led the Jayhawks to the Big 8 Championships in 1968. He remained with the Jets for five years before joining the Washington Redskins as a free agent in 1976.

    Riggins stayed with the Redskins until his retirement in 1985 but in July 1980 he demanded the club renogiate his contract, which they refused to do. As a result the Redskins put him on their retired list preventing him signing to any other cub and he didn't play with the Redskins again until 1981.

    Riggins had a hard hitting running style and was considered a classic workhorse.

    In 983 h. e was drated 6th overall in the first round of the 1971 NFL Draft by the New York Jets Super Bowl John Riggin's 43 yard dash sealed victory for the Redskins and his 38 carries and 166 yard rush effort earned him a Super Bowl MVP. he also delivered five 1,000 yard rushing seasons over the course of his career and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992.

  • Fran Tarkenton- Minesota Vikings QB #10
  • Born in Richmond, Virginia on ebruary 3rd, 1940 Fran Tarkenton played in the NFL for 17 seasons. He attended Athens High School in Geargia, followed by the University of Georgia where he played as a Quaterback for the Bulldogs.

    In the 1961 NFL Entry Draft he was selected by the Minesota Vikingsin the third round, 26 overall. He stayed with the Vikings until 1967 when he was traded to the New York Giants.

    During his early yeasrs with the Vinkings he often had disagreements with their head coach Norm Van Brocklin who was not a fan of Fran's mobile quarterback style of play.

    After five successful years with the Giants he was traded back to the Vikings in 1972 and went on to lead the Vikings to three Super Bowl Championships through the 70's.

    Throughout the 70's he won many awards and accolades including being selected to nine Pro-Bowls however his inability to win a championship game despite this prevents many people from considering him as a "great" player but when he retired he was the NFL's leader in passing yards and touchdowns. He was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1986.

  • Warren Moon- Houston Oilers QB #1
  • Harold Warren Moon was born on November 18th, 1956 in Los Angeles, California who played in both the Canadian and American Football Leagues and he is the only player to date who has been inducted into both the American and Canadian Hall Fame. He married his wife elicia on March 8, 1981 and they have one daughter.

    He went to Hamilton High School in Los Angeles and joined West Los AngelesCollege in 1974 where he became a record setting quarterback. Due to Moon's insistence in playing as a Quarterback the University of Washington were on of the few four year colleges willing to sign him The highlight of his Unversity years was in 1978 when he led the Huskies to victory over favorites, the Mitchigan Wolverines, in the 1978 Rose Bowl

    Despite his success at college he went undrafted in the NFL due to his inflexibilty and unwillingness to switch position. As a result he turned to the Canadian Football League and was signed by the Edmington Eskimos where he helped to lead them to five unprecedented Grey Cup wins.

    Moon decided to enter the NFL in 1983 sparking of a bidding war by the Houston Oilers but due to the shorter and narrower feild size he initially had a difficulty adapting his strong throw. In 1989 he became the highest paid player in the NL at that time when the Oilers gave him a $10 million, 5 year contract extension.

    $ He left the Oilers after the 1993 season to join the Minnesota Vikings where he passed for over 4,200 yards in his first two season but after breaking his collarbone he missed half of the 1996 season.

    After the 1996 season he joined the Seatle Seahawks as a free agent after he refused to take a pay cut to act as Brad Johnson's backup. He stayed with the Seahawks for two seasons before moving to the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent but he only played in three games beore announcing his retirement in January 2001.

    Over the course of his career Warren had 13 seasons with at least 3,000 passing yards and a total of 291 career touchdown passes and nine Pro Bowl selections. He joined the Pro Bowl Hall of Fame in 2006.
