"Is Plaxico Burress Made Of Plexiglas?"
It is been widely known that Plaxico Burress and Shannon Sharpe, a linebacker with the Baltimore Ravens who gave him the nickname Plexiglas, have a long standing feud because of his tendencies to get injured.
He has also gained a notoriety for being a sulker after loosing a big game and has often not turned up for team meetings after a lost game.
Born on 12 August 1977 in Norfolk Virginia he attended High School at Green Run High School in Norfolk and graduated in 1995.
He went on to play football at the Michigan State college were he excelled as a kick blocker.
Scholastic Sports rated Plexico Burress as the best receiver in the nation and holds the school's career records with 86 receptions and 38 countdown catches.
In January 2005 after the Giants lost against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs Burress said he was going to quit the team but a few months later he signed a new contract despite negotiations having been called off with both sides saying that there was no deal to be made.
His first season with the Giants, in 2005-6, was outstanding. He caught 76 passes for 1214 yards and was instrumental in the New York Giants winning the division title.
