R2-D2 is a cuddly little mechanical astro-droid and one of the face icons of the Star Wars franchise, R2-D2 has tagged along with legendary heroes such as Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi and later with Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and Han Solo.

R2-D2 along with its companion droid C-3PO has travelled the galaxy on many different adventures alongside the heroes of Star Wars assisting and acting as the resourceful side-kicks for the heroes.

R2-D2 along with C-3PO was a witness to the secret marriage of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala and then R2 tagged with Anakin Skywalker on his starfighter till the end of clone wars and their team was a menace for any enemy starfighters or cruisers.

Similarly R2-D2 also accompanied and assisted Luke Skywalker the son of Anakin Skywalker in his quest to become a Jedi and then on his struggle against the evil galactic empire.
