The Sideshow Collectibles presents the Star Wars Utapau Shadow Trooper 12 inch Figure.

The Clone Shadow Troopers were an elite division of the army of the Old Republic which came into being during the galaxy-wide Clone Wars, this special group of clone troopers was created and orchestrated by Armand Isard Director of the Republic Intelligence Division.

As the Clone Wars grew more and more destructive the numbers of the elite ARC Troopers of the Republic dwindled the Director of Intelligence then quickly felt the need to maintain their elite military ranks.

These Shadow troopers were basically reconnaissance operatives having a much more sophisticated armor these soldiers either operate individually or in very small groups as undercover agents and infiltrators, due to their unique armor they can often be mistaken as bounty hunters.

Along with reconnaissance they were also trained for gathering intelligence, spying and for infiltrating operations. The Shadow Troopers became the standard for the future Shadow Storm Troopers of the galactic empire.

When General Grievous was discovered at the planet Utapau by the Clone Intelligence units, the Shadow Troopers were dispatched as infiltrators to place jammers at different critical locations in order for the Jedi General Obi Wan Kenobi to invade with his army, the operation was successful which resulted in General Grievous being defeated by Obi Wan Kenobi and the planet Utapau was secured for the Republic.
