Starcraft is a production from the Blizzard Entertainment game developers and publishers.

It is a space style version of the popular medieval Warcraft which is also a creation of Blizzard entertainment.

In Warcraft Blizzard came up with the idea of the clashes between medieval races such as orcs, dwarfs, gnomes, elves and man staged in medieval times with all sort of magic and swords it’s a great fantasy.

Starcraft is a modern space opera that could have been inspired by the great Star Wars, the settings are in a galaxy far away but not that far that it can’t be reached by people!!

One of the races involved in the main plot are called Terrans, exiled humans, sent to another star system due to the over population of earth.

The Starcraft franchise kicked off in March 1998 with its first real-time strategy video game for PC.

The game was the best-seller of that year and went on to revolutionize the real-time strategy genre for gaming and was a huge success.

It is also considered to be amongst the finest games of its time and became one of the most popular online games paving the way for a boost in the popularity of real-time strategy video games.

Many critics have praised the games concept and stated it to be the game which defined real-time strategy game-play.

Starcraft brought into the mix three different races, Terrans the exiled human race which resided in a far of galaxy confronted by Protoss an advanced humanoid race and the Zerg, insect like creatures.

Starcraft’s success lead to an expansion of its franchise including novelization stories, merchandise, and Starcraft II which was released in July
