"Do You Know Who Tom Brady Is Dating?"Tom Brady has been a Quarterback with the New England Patriots since they drafted him in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft, after leading Michigan to an Orange Bowl victory.
The Early Years Born on August 3, 1977 Tom Brady junior was often taken to see the 49ers play and he became a big fan of Joe Montana, their quarterback. Initially a big baseball fan he played baseball at Junipero High School as a catcher. He was drafted in the 18th round of the 1995 MLB Draft by the National Expos. He graduated Junipero High School in San Mateo, California and then went on to attend the University of Michigan where he switched from baseball to football. For the first two years at Michigan he was benched whilst his team-mate, Brian Griese, led them to a national championship in 1997. Brady had a tough struggle trying to get some playing time and became very frustrated with the lack of opportunity and on several occasions considered transferring. Then in the 1998-99 season, under coach Lloyd Carr, he got his opportunity and he started every game that season. During his first season as a starter he broke Michigan's records for most pass attempts, and completions in a season.
The New England Patriots Years Tom Brady was drafted by the New England Patriots in the 2000 NFL Drafts in a pick that has been quoted as being the greatest "steal" in the NFL Draft's history. Brady started his career with the Patriots as a backup quarterback to Drew Bledsoe but after a collision with the Jets linebacker he( Drew Bledsoe)suffered an injury and soon after Tom Brady was named as the starting quarterback. Despite his first few games being mediocre and unspectacular he helped bring them to an 11-5 record and into the playoffs. It was during a divisional playoff game against the Oakland Raiders that Brady led the Patriots from a 10 point deficit in the fourth quarter to a victory with a drive in overtime. In an AFC Championship Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers the tables were turned on Brady as he was injured and in a tackle had to be relieved by Bledsoe. This left coach Bill Belichick with a delema on who to pick for the Superbowl XXXVI game as Brady had started every winning game the Patriots had had that year, or Bledsoe whose was their regular quarterback but only lost his job through injury.
Bill Belichick finally decided on Brady who, as it turned out saved the game for the Patriots. With the game tied and only 2 minutes left he drove a Patriot offensive down the field enabling Adam Vinatieri to score a field goal as time was called winning them the game. Brady was later named as the MVP for Superbowl XXXVI. The following season was fairly mediocre but for most of the second season he played with a shoulder injury. The 2003-4 season faired much better though and he helped the Patriots achieve 12 consecutive wins and win the AFC East divisional title. After defeating the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts in the first two rounds of the playoffs Brady again led the Patriots to another Superbowl victory and was named Superbowl MVP for the second time.
He again saved the day as with the game tied and only 1:08 on the clock, he led a drive down the field to put them in position for the game winning field goal. In the 2004-5 season Tom Brady was instrumental in the Patriots NFL record setting 21 consecutive wins. Over this period Brady attempted 690 passes, completed 412, made 4953 passing yards, 34 passing touchdowns and 13 passes intercepted. The Patriots also one the AFC East divisional title four the third time in four yeasrs and they also defeated the Philadelphia Eagles to win the Superbowl for the third time in four years. The 2005-6 Season was a difficult season for the Patriots and especially Tom Brady as the team was plagued by injuries and relied heavily on his abilities. Despite these difficulties the Patriots won the AFC East title for the third consecutive year and Brady achieved his second highest career passer rating of 92.3. In the 2006 Season Tom Brady had to make a few adjustments due to the changes within the Patriots who had an all-new line up of receivers. However after a short period of adjustment the Patriots had another good season and Tom Brady received an invitation to the Pro-Bowl, but instead he opted to play golf in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am tournament. It has often been commented that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of his era.
