The Toys R Us Triple packs first debuted in 2006 and were warmly recieved by collectors and fans alike.

The forst series highlighted the Giants, Steelers, Patriots and Cowboys.

These exclusive sets not only offered fans the chance to pick up players who they missed in earlier series but collectors had the chane to pick up unique uniform options for four of the players (Hines Ward, Drew Bledsoe, Tedy Bruschi and Corey Dillon) as well as updated logos for two Giants (Tiki Barber & Michael Strahan), and Sports Picks debuts for Plaxico Burress and Joey Porter.

This years Toys R Us NFL 3-packs look to be as popular this season as they were in 2006 with plenty to satisfy both the new and established collector.

Featuring the Eagles three different jerseys (green, white and black) and with two of the three players in uniform combinations never previously released.

The three players on offer in this years set are Donovan McNabb (his second McFarlane release), Brian Dawkins and Brian Westbrook.

The McNabb figure features a re-issue of the NFL Series 12 sculpt which is disappointing when McFarlane's could quiet easily have done a repaint, perhaps in the white jersey.

Then there is the Dawkins figure, which looks fine in black but is another re-issue of his hunchback defensive pose which personally I don't like.

The best one of this pack is the Westbrook figure which looks great in his white jersey.

This set could have been a lot better but...

On a positive note though the attention to detail, quality and paintwork are as good as always and if you missed these figures previously nows your ideal opportunity to go out and get them.

This three pack features a look at three of the key Quaterbacks in the Cowboys offence, which has had such stability over the last 30 years adding to the teams success.

The players in this pack are Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman and Tony Romo, each wearing a different colored jersey with two of the players available for the first time in these jerseys.

With both Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach available in the same pack this is likely to be the most popular.

Troy is featured in the Cowboys' Double Star jersey, and he looks spectacular.

The Staubach figure is a "pre-release" of the figure due to be released in the NFL Legends Series 3 line-up, so this will be your chance to get him before his official release in November.

Finally there's the Tony Romo's figure which also looks spectacular in the Cowboy's alternate blue jersey.

All in all this set is outstanding both in quality and value with three excellent new figures for collectors to acquire.

For the Elite Club Running Backs pack McFarlanes have taken a combination of the top three draft selections from the national Fantasy Football leagues draft boards.

The set will feature Larry Johnson's first sculpt, Shaun Alexandra's second and LaDainian Tomlinson's third but each of them will be offered in jerseys combinations that have not been previously available.

The Larry Johnson figure looks great with a different pose to previously released figures.

The LaDanian figure is also an excellent choice for this set and the choice of a powder blue uniform will please the many fans who have been clamouring for this jersey color.

The pose for this figure however is not one of his best and it is still missing the visor which fans have been complaining about since the first LaDanian release.

Lastly, there is the Shaun Alexandra figure which is another great looking figure and he looks magnificent in the white jersey chosen here.Another excellent choice of colors.

On a down side the pose could have been better, personally I would have opted for the first Alexandra pose rather than his second pose.

All that said McFarlane's deserve another big thumbs up for this set.

There will be a mass produced retail version, shown above, that will be available through most large retail stores as well as the usual hobby stores in the 49ers classic red uniform.
