TRANSFORMERS ROBOTS IN DISGUISE Figures - 2001-2002

The Transformers Robots in Disguise figures toy-line and series was the English version of the Japanese Transformers: Car Robot series.

Released in 2001 it was basically a "filler" line while the next series, Transformers: Armada, was being produced and began as a self-contained universe separate from any of the other existing Transformers Universes.

Despite being well produced and made The Robots in Disguise, as with the Machine Wars line, lacked much of the marketing and support of others and so it never really took off.

But reluctant to give up after the Robots in Disguise line failed to capture kids imaginations Hasbro introduced the Transformers Armada figures, supported by a new animated series.
