HELPING YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR FIGURE(S)!
UMC Titans
by Mamad
It is almost three years since the advent of Ultimate Collector series by Round 5 and they are enjoying an increasing popularity all the time
When the whole thing started back in 2008, it seems more like an experiment with what was already over saturated market.
After all, good wrestling characters of all types had been released and experimented with but still could not return the golden days of super fighters such as Hulk Hogan.
And that is probably why Round 5 mostly engaged in production of branded action figures previously. The release of Anderson Silva, Diego Sanchez, Cung Le, Gina Carano, Andrei Arlovski or Bruce Lee and many others had all been inline with that concept.
But the trends have changed and fans are looking for new exciting figures all the time and that is the reason for Round 5 President Damon Lau announcing a new Ultimate Collector Series, the Titans.
"As the UFC has grown into a mainstream sport, we wanted to produce a new line that appeals to our current fans as well as the new audiences who are finally recognizing mixed martial arts as the greatest sport on earth." said Lau.
Each Titan figure is 5 inches tall which makes it an inch shorter than the Ultimate Collector Series but still enjoys as many points of articulation.
The joints at neck, waist, arms and fists help in displaying the character in desired pose and having hours of fun. Fans will notice that the same familiar faces are kept but the body is smaller giving the Titan figure an interesting comic-like feature.
UMC Titan figures from Round 5 will become available in November 2011 at a cost of $14.99 each.
